Music & Healing (Psalm 27, Luke 13: 31-35)

Psalm 27

Luke 13: 31-35

Sometimes music is seen as mere entertainment. Yet often, music connects parts of our lives that have been disoriented because of trauma, and points us to the living God. The writers and singers of the psalms knew this. Jesus also knows the healing power of psalms as he laments the state of the city he loves. Music therapists know the healing power of music. Those who gather for worship also know or hope for the nearness of God as we sing.
