Looking forward to a fast is a lot like looking forward to doing laundry. The process is often an unpleasant look at how messy life can really be. A Lenten fast offers the opportunity to asses and change our relationships with God and one another. May we see that most everything about these relationships can be changed by one thing that does not change--the love of God for each of us in Christ.
