Beyond the Blame (Sermon Audio, John 9)

When something is amiss or broken in life, the questions that arise vary in degree from "why me?" to "whose fault is it?" We humans take the easy way out of a mess through blame. Blame is a quicker path to address brokenness, but it doesn't make the situation better for anyone involved.

Jesus deals with the propensity to blame head on. When encountering a man blind from birth, even Jesus' best students asked the question, "who sinned?" ready to judge the parties involved in a man's blindness.

Jesus won't have it with our blame; Jesus goes great lengths to show that every broken place in life is an opportunity to reveal the power of God. Do you have a place in your life where you have been prone to place blame that could be transformed by grace?
