Art Crowdsourcing for Lakewood Summerfest Community Outreach

St. John's Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Washington is crowdsourcing art!

Will you share your talent? If your drawing is accepted, you will receive $75.

Lakewood, Washington is adjacent to a large military base of the U.S. Army and Air Force (Joint Base Lewis-McChord). Much of the Lakewood community is connected to some aspect of the military. It is part of the mission of St. John's to connect with neighbors in Lakewood in a spirit of hospitality, care, and friendship.

During the 2012 Lakewood Summerfest, St. John's will be present to connect with the people of Lakewood and the surrounding area. One way we'd like to connect is to offer opportunities for prayer for deployed soldiers. Another way is to show care in a small, tangible way with a post card. This post card will be colored by children or adults, and it will be shipped to a deployed soldier, with the postage covered by St. John's. This is where you, the crowd, can help make this possible.

What do we need from you?

This post serves as an open call for a coloring page that can be placed on a large, 5x7 postcard to be colored by children or adults. The intent of the card is to communicate care/concern/gratitude for deployed soldiers. It needs to be a drawing that can be colored by children or adults.
